Cooking with biogas project
the Municipality of Mubende and Landkreis Gießen have built up a dynamic partnership based on mutual cooperation, aiming at a transition to an affordable climate neutrality and overall development.
The aforementioned Joint Programme of action has been established with the following intended mission in mind:
"By 2045, the Municipality of Mubende and Landkreis Gießen have built up a dynamic partnership based on mutual cooperation, aiming at a transition to an affordable climate neutrality and overall development."
The Parties intend for this Memorandum of Understanding to provide the cornerstone and structure for any and all possibly impending binding contracts related to the implementation of the Bio Gas Project stated in Joint program of action drawn between the two parties.
Both parties agree to implement a “Cooking with biogas” project where Mubende Municipality and District of Giessen cooperate as partners within the project funded by “Engagement Global, Germany.
The project shall be implemented in partnership with the International University of East Africa (IUEA) as the technical and scientific partner.
The aim of the project is to establish a biogas plant at Kasenyi Secondary School, Mubende. The project will provide sustainable energy from organic waste for the preparation of meals.
